I know exactly how that sounds; I'm not sure what I would do if I would have to go back to the old life again. [ Tom felt strange to hear it. He had a chance to retire in Brazil of all places, but he opted not to. ] If we're going to become extinct, at least we should do it while still standing on our feet.
