Halstead. I told him if he didn't get actual help, I was getting another partner.

If he's pissed he'll have to get over it. He needs a little shove.

I'm worried about him. For a couple of reasons.

[Sighs.]

All right. I don't think Burgess was a fan of my tactics either, but we made up.

[Sighs.]

My concern about Jay, it's not just professional. It's personal.

I kissed him.

I kind of got that, but I'm not going to say anything.

But sleeping together, that'd be interesting.

Get me a few drinks and we'll find out.

Seriously though, you want to get a drink? I don't want to go home. I'll just sulk on my couch.

[Grabs her jacket and nods at the door.]

And I apologize in advance if I do start flirting with you. I drink and things happen.

I'll behave since you have a thing for Halstead.

[He smirked but Antonio was a good guy in that regard.]

You make it sound like we're in high school.

[Laughs.]

Besides my first concern is that he gets his head on straight. Anything else is up to him.

Or a guy that has respect for things.

[Laughs gently and nudges her.]

Come on, wanna hit up Molly's?

No, I meant the way you phrased it. I feel like I'm fifteen.

[Which probably wasn't that far off. Laughs and nudges him back.]

Sure. How's your dad, by the way? Anything I can do to help?

Huh, guess I have an older person type tone of voice.

[He chuckled.]

My day was good. As good as our days can be.

Well at least someone had a good one.

[Hailey chuckled and once they made it to Molly's she grabbed them two seats at the bar.]

Drinks are on me. What do you want?

I'm easy, just a beer works.

[Upton ordered them a round and leaned back. Trying to push the day out of her head she glanced at him.]

So you've worked with Voight a long time, right? Is it usually this crazy? It feels like the whole place is falling apart.

It can get crazy, but things always have a way of working out.

I feel like I don't quite fit in. Like I'm playing by one set of rules and everyone else has another.

[The first time she'd said that to anyone.]

We all start out feeling that, but we tend to find our bearings.

You too? I have to say, at first I thought you were a little too by the book to be working here.

[Upton shook her head and took a drink.]

I don't want to leave, I like the team, but I feel like everyone thinks I have a stick up my ass.

Every new person feels that way. Trust me.
