*He looks offended. Well, maybe a mock offense--its not as if he expected Kili to take him being a parasite seriously of course. But he does cuff Kili upside the head, playfully though. It's only a matter of time before it turns to some kind of violence.*
I am a handsome dwarf, nothing about me is a parasite. You look like an Elf.
[A mock offense, of course, because Kili never means his insults as anything but play. He's fighting a grin now, even as Fili calls him an Elf. He openly gapes for a moment, then scoffs.]
[The insult was, of course, meant for Fili and certainly not Thorin. Kili hadn't bothered to check whose footsteps approached, just shouted the insult as a carryover to an earlier teasing session with his brother. As soon as he heard his uncle's voice though, Kili paled and let out a nervous laugh.]
Sorry, Uncle Thorin. I thought you were Fili. It is but a joke.
Is that so? I hoped to find you and your brother cooperating. You're too old to have your heads smashed together or your hides tanned by me. [He smirked.]
[Kili can't help the laugh that escapes him, and he grins, reaching out to clap his hand on Bombur's shoulder.] Not your face, Bombur! Never your face, friend.
Fili and I decided we like it! I hope you don't mind us borrowing it. [Now that he gets the joke and isn't so offended by it, he thinks it's the greatest thing ever.]
[Kili's face grew a little more serious, and he nodded.] He is more serious than usual of late. Fili and I only try to lighten the mood to make him laugh.
