[Casually leaning against a wall, watching.]

[Looking over.]

Loki, I'm on a treadmill. This cannot possibly be all that interesting.

[Arms crossed, he lifts one to idly wave it in the air before him, briefly.]

I have nothing better to do but stare at something that isn't all that unpleasant to stare at.

[Coulson just keeps running.]

So really it's not all that unlike watching a hamster on a wheel when bored? Only with a much smaller chance of accidental loop-the-loops?

[He cracks a smile.] Basically. Though I suppose if I wanted to liven it up I could always make the chance much more likely...

[He mulls it over a brief moment.]

Yeah. You could.

[He well knows by this point, though, that saying anything else would just be tempting fate, so he opts not to.]

[Still smiling, he waits a brief moment before responding.]

I take it that is undesirable?

Little more "carnival ride" than I'm actually going for.

But carnivals are fun!

They are. But there's a time and a place for carnivals, and I don't exactly see any midway games nearby.

Well, I can change the place if you're willing to make the time.

[He pauses.]

I can make the time if you give me a few minutes first to shower and change.

[He considers for a moment then dips his head in a small nod.]

Very well. [He smiles sweetly, a little too sweetly.] Do not take too long, my little agent.

I'll be quick. I can easily imagine a few of the ramifications if I linger.

[Showing up suddenly in the middle of a carnival straight from the middle of the shower comes to mind, after all. He stops the treadmill and hops off.]

Back in a few.

[It would be a likely scenario. There was also the very good possibility Loki would time it very carefully with any number of carnival sideshows that would produce a good many viewers to take notice.]

Mmhmm.

[Therefore it's a pretty quick shower, and Coulson emerging in a t-shirt and jeans.]

Not too long, I hope?

Just in the nick of time. [He replies with a wicked smirk.]

Lucky me. Ready whenever you are.

[His eyes flick over the agent quickly, regarding him.] We should go to carnivals more often, clearly.

[He manages to avoid rolling his eyes, even if it would be fondly.]

The suit wouldn't really blend in so much.

Lucky me. [Still smiling, he walks to Coulson and takes him arm-in-arm.

They disappear and reappear within a bustling, lively carnival.]

[He looks around.]

Nice carnival. Where is it?

[He shrugs.] Small town in Rhode Island, I believe. Or is it Connecticut? Midgardian geography uninterests me.

[Spoiler: he knows exactly where he is.]

Fair enough. ... No pun intended.

[He pulls out his phone to check his GPS location.]

[Loki casually swipes the phone and puts it into his own pocket, although there is no indication that it resides there once his hand leaves. He takes Coulson by the arm and begins to drag him around.]

[He blinks at the sudden loss of his phone.]

I suppose that's an option, sure.

[He ~~is dragged~~ walks along with Loki.]
