[Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately for this young wizard, this young non-magical woman is nevertheless drunk enough at the moment to actually see the "invisible" raven, and coos softly at it:] Aww, why don't you show your pretty beaky face to this nice little boy, eh, sweetie?
[Alleyne tries to look closer - trying to see if some manner of spell is concealing whatever he's poking at that she may be able to look past. This is one bird that doesn't want to be seen, even by a Dark Fae.]
...and you're absolutely sure that there's somethin' there, eh?
[The raven croaks at her and is definitely there. It's a dark fae spell that's hiding it from him and if she looks hard enough she can see it. The caster is definitely powerful. Arch fae, queen type.
It also appears to be thinking this is hysterical, constantly avoiding his pokes.]
Yes. I know he's there. I've been told by some very reliable people that he's there. And the fact that I can't see him is very irritating.
[Still unconvinced by his words, she looks closer. At first it's just a glimmer of movement. Then as she looks closer she does indeed see the bird. Alleyne smiles as she steps forward.]
Well, would you show yourself to some asshole who's poking at you?
[She softly clicks her tongue against the roof of her mouth as she moves a hand up, pausing though - as if asking permission to stroke the raven's back.]
[Alec mutters something rude and definitely not supposed to be said in polite company about the bird.]
Because I can sense he's there.
[He waves a hand in the bird's direction.]
There's a... bird hole... thing... in reality... [he pauses.] Reality is telling me that that a bird... a shadow raven... should be there. Also some people I trust can see him.
Mostly the second now, but I started more the first. At least, I started out mortal, my people aren't human but we're human derived. The fey experimented on some humans a long time ago and ended up with my folk.
[The raven likes her and will step onto her arm if allowed. Of course, part of it is being a smug ass.]
[Alleyne holds her arm out to let the raven settle there, reaching with her other hand to stroke his chest.]
Awww, see you're really a nice bird, aren't you? [She can't help smirking a bit.]
[He has her attention immediately though when he mentions the fey.]
So...do your kind have a name for yourselves? I never knew the Fae were toying with humans...was it anyone in particular? [Alleyne's more of a loner herself - but she knows the other Fae well enough, especially other Unseelie like herself.]
