[ The Doctor leans forward to get a good look at the talking squid with a bright smile on his face. ]
Yes, there is plenty of danger, but the wonder does seem to out weigh the danger part. [ And he takes no offense to Oh's attempt at learning English. ]
And I'm sure you have seen your share of both the good and bad the universe has to offer.
Well firstly it was bad, the Gorg always with the finding. [He brightens.] Luckily, we Boov are bestest at running away. Captain Smeck finding Earthland for new home to live.
Are you humans person? [Oh pokes the Doctor's shoulder experimentally to be sure.]
I'd hope someone teaches the Boov not to run in the face of most dangers. But yeah, right, no harm in running.
[ Though The Doctor suspects running maybe best in their case. And at the poke to his shoulder, The Doctor feels not much different than a human does. But seeing the Boov seems open and welcoming, The Doctor can't help but to continue smiling. ] Me? Oh, I'm not a human. I'm a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey.
And you may call me The Doctor, Mr.Boov. [ He raises an eyebrow as he extends a hand. ]
A humans girl taught me that. She was....brave. Running towards danger.
[Uh oh, he's turning pink all over, something Boov do when they love something or someone.]
[Oh lights up at meeting a new species, making a whooping noise of delight and turning orange. Holding out both hands to shake the Doctor's one hand enthusiastically.] Pleased I am for meeting you. I am Oh. I has been given this name by my many friends.
Oh! What a great name, Oh. Though I do wonder if it gets confusing if someone is just saying, oh. Still I do like it! [ He takes the hand and gives it a good firm shake. ]
I'm what you would call a frequent visitor to Earth, yes. But I don't tend to stay for long, no, there's far too much to see out there.
[ The Doctor lets go of the hand, and he pauses to think for a moment. And he opts to just play along with Oh. There's no need to add to any more confusion. ] Yes, that's me, I'm a traveling doctor who likes to help others.
There's lots to do and, but for being safe, eh... [ The Doctor reaches his hand back to rub the back of his neck. ]
It is safe if you're a human, or if you're able to blend in but I wouldn't call it the safest planet on the universe. The humans still are a bit touchy when it comes to 'aliens'.
We Boov thoughts humans persons were backward and needing help from Boov. Did not realize taking planet was the wrongest.
[However, as far as takeovers go, the Boov definitely were the nicest aliens ever to invade. Misguided as they were.]
Yes, humans persons can get very touchy. And hitting and yelling and kicking. [He rubs his face in remembrance of Tip kicking him.] And 4th grade girls are mean.
[ The Doctor is busy setting up a simple telescope on the grass, sure a field out in the middle of the countryside isn't somewhere special but to The Doctor it is so awesome. And as he turns around to face Clara, and he clasps his hands together as he looks at Clara with a cheery smile on his face. ]
I was thinking we could just sit here in this field and admire a small glance of the universe from Earth. And I believe we might even get a chance to admire a meteorite or two! [ He seems excited enough about doing something mundane. ] And I even got a thermos filled with tea and soup!
[ The Doctor's hanging out by the console controls of the TARDIS with his back facing Clara as he turns a knob and pulls a lever of the directional controls in front of him. He's excited to show Clara something new and exciting for them both as it shows with the smile on his face. ]
And I'm picking a place at random all thanks to a brand new randomizer that I added to the TARDIS. The best part about this is I don't know where we'll go. It can be somewhere new, somewhere dangerous, somewhere safe, or we might end up flying into the heart of a star! [ He scrunches his face when he mentions flying into a star. ] Nix the whole heart of a star bit.
[ The Doctor listens and the moment the words take over are mentioned he lowers his head and he sighs. ] No, the humans might not be advanced compared to other civilizations but they are more than capable of reaching some very important milestones on their own.
And most civilizations don't tend to be open to their planets being taken over. [ The chipper and friendly voice fades to something a bit more serious. ]
[Clara runs to the console, taking a place across from him so she can watch him work. She can't keep the grin off her face. She's buzzing with excitement.]
Just when I think all of space and time couldn't get more interesting if it tried, you go and install a randomizer.
[She's thrilled and terrified, and it's marvelous.]
[ Stories of forgiveness are among the rarest and if not one of The Doctor's favorites to hear. The serious look on his face fades, and a smile returns to his face. And to hear humanity was willing to embrace the fact mistakes were made is even better. ]
I'm glad to hear that all of those mistakes were put behind everyone for the sake of friendship. I don't often here of it, and when I do I get a nice tingly feeling inside of me.
[It's pretty endearing how excited he is to do this. And while she loves adventures all across time and space, she's sure there's something to be said about staying on Earth and seeing things from a more mundane point of view. So she smiles in return and makes her way over to "help" set up the telescope. Aka: she's going to fiddle with it while he does the work.]
Hopefully not tea and soup at the same time.
[There's a pause, and she laughs uncertainly because you never can be too sure with him.]
Sounds like something you'd do. [And in her best Doctor voice:] Here Clara, have a lovely evening with stars and the night sky. Would you care for some tea and split pea soup to go along with it?
[ The Doctor looks down at the thermos, but he doesn't dare admit he's a terrible cook. But at the mention of split pea soup there is an almost devastated look on his face at the mere mention of split pea soup. His face scrunches up in a comical fashion and he sticks out his tongue as if he were the universes' oldest child. ]
Blah! Why would you even mention the most evil soup in the universe? It is all green and it looks as if someone got sick in a bowl! And I'll have you know, I would never mix it with tea. Now chicken soup is a whole other story! [ So much for not telling Clara about what is in the thermos. He finally relaxes, and he places the thermos of tea and soup on a tree stump beside him. ]
But I do enjoy a nice evening without running for our lives, and feeling as if the universe can wait. [ He turns around to go back to getting the telescope's coordinates set just right. And he doesn't seem to mind Clara's fiddling. ]
[ And the fun starts as the TARDIS spins wildly through the Vortex, and the same is to be said for the occupants. To hell with the blue borings, The Doctor always did find it far more enjoyable to be tossed about the TARDIS as she travels towards their unknown destination.
The Doctor is beside himself as he struggles to get to the controls of the wildest ride ever! ] Oi! That's my line! [ The Doctor cries out as he grabs on to the console to avoid being tossed to the floor as the TARDIS continues her journey through the Vortex. ]
And I even considered having it go through your music library on your phone! But I decided against it! Anyways hold on because it is going to be a very bumpy ride!
[Clara is laughing as the TARDIS takes them careening to unknown adventure. What will happen this time? A peaceful walk on an alien beach? Staving off a hostile invasion?
The options are infinite.
She clings to the console, thrumming with giddy energy. She could become addicted to this very easily.]

Oh, yes AAND danger. Much danger to find in universe.
[You'll have to excuse him, his English might be well said, the whole grammar thing he's still working on.]
