But srsly, thanks for this. I already thought this was a rule, tbh. I'm taking the 'wait until a whole page has cleared' to be vaguely leniant...? Cause on quiet days, a page clearing can take a fair chunk of time, especially for us British muns who are on during the quiet daytime slumps.
We would gladly agree to new # 6. As we understand it, though, community members put us in for the spotlight. I wonder if they hate us.
During slow times I am sure that we can be convinced to look the other way. As will all our rules, we will take such factors as (slow posting times) into consideration. So long, really, as you aren't staking a large number of post in a very short period of time.
As for it being a rule, it was more of a community understanding. We've never really had this problem before. And in previous cases a simple mention could solve the problem.
This doesn't tend to effect me from a posting perspective (because I'm lazy, and never do), but I like having something new to reply to in the day. Unfortunately leniency and strictness are hard to enforce at the same time, so I'm glad the mods are doing their best to strike a decent balance.
Those of us in Britain (and similar timezones) are very grateful. &haerts;
Yeah, it doesn't really change anything for me cause I hardly ever post in, I just reply. But even so, it's nice to know we might be able to if we feel compelled on a quiet Brit afternoon. xD
