[She steals a bit of courage to come closer, lured in by the sad notes of his song. Sometimes, she could feel that loneliness inside of him when he sang and she tried to comfort him by the melody of her voice joining his. Today, she is strangely silent. Perhaps shy. Always, their meetings have been on his terms, but not this time]

Are you very lonely down here?

[She questions him, once he is finished with his song. Her eyes are wide, her body bundled in a cloak against the chill. Strangely, it wasn't cold down here, there was a warmth that soaked into her very bones]
