I didn't know it was your birthday, so neither did I.

Not many people know about my birthday. So, you would have planned something had you known?

[They reach the cafe and Bela opens the door] After you.

Thanks, hon. *Goes in and waits for her*

[She pulls the car up just outside a beach and turns off the ignition] I think I'm good for now.

Well, I don't know you well, so nothing too elaborate. I'd have brought a card, at least.

[He looks at her expectantly.]

So, what now?

[She finds them a table and sits down] This place does the best tea.

I'm sure. Somethin' sure smells good in here. *Grins*

Not as good as that cupcake you gave me.

How comfy do you think the back seat is?

Well now. That's sweet of ya ta say.

That's really sweet, thank you. And we're supposed to be working on the getting to know me part.

I meant it. [A waitress comes over to take their order]

I'll have a cup of tea please. How about you, Sandra?

[A large grin crosses his face]

Very.

Mmm, coffee, I think. *Smiles*

Mostly, I suppose. It's been quiet.

Quiet can be good sometimes.

[Unbuckling her seat beat, she gets up and moves to the back seat, winking at him]

Come on then.

And a coffee for my friend, here. [Nodding, the waitress goes to place their order]

I've never really liked coffee.

[He crawls back quickly, sitting close to her.]

I'm remembering that game of 'Have you ever'... something about in the back seat of a car...

As I'm sure you can well appreciate, given what's happened to you.

I'm American enough to live on the stuff. *Laughs softly*
