[Hanging off the roof's edge]

HELP!

[In an instant, he's there and grabbing Lois' arm. With ease, he pulls her from her doom with one hand.]

[She's gasping for air, possibly hyperventilating a little as her feet hit the concrete. She lets out a relieved sigh and looks up at him, a little confused.]

"... Not who I was expecting, but I'll take what I can get."

He smiles at her before letting her go. "You're welcome."

*grabs her wrists and starts hauling her up*

"Looks like there's a new hero in town."

[Scrambles back onto the concrete roof, gasping for air.]

"Thank you," she manages.

Action filled life of journalism, huh?

[wraps a gloved hand firmly around her wrist] Shouting a distraction.

Good thing I happened along. What happened?

"I wouldn't go that far. Maybe just a concerned citizen."

"Maybe I'm missing something, but do most concerned citizens hang out on rooftops and save damsels in distress?"

Might've dug a little too deep for some politicians' comfort...

[Holds on tight, struggling to get her footing]

[Is suddenly on the roof, trying to grab her arms and pull her up]

[begins pulling her up, grabbing her other wrist as he does, and hauling her over the edge] Shouldn't be up here in high heels.

Thanks. I... don't think I ever got your name, Mr...?

[Scrambles over the ledge, stops to catch her breath.]

I didn't exactly trip up here. I'm clumsy, but I'm not that clumsy...

Smith. Colonel, actually. Unless you're being technically legal about it, which I avoid.

[Manages to get some footing against the brick, starts to pull herself up.]

So... just Smith, then?
