I'm not afraid of a confrontation.
Baby, of course. ( he smiles, expression a little tired but entirely honest, leaning forward briefly to kiss her on the cheek. )

I don't blame ya. Don't get me wrong, I like Mr. Schue enough but now what he was doin' was just straight up disrespectful. Sometimes a man just needs to be hit.
( emma instantly relaxed at those words and reached out to take this hand. ) I've never been happier, Carl. Ruining what we have isn't something I plan on doing.

No problem. Glad to hear it. Mr. Schue kind of... went a little crazy. I don't really blame you for doing what you did. [And it was a mild reaction compared to when Finn found out the baby was Puck's, sooo.]
( he squeezed her hand, smile growing a little warmer. ) It's not something I plan to do, either.
I know and the reassurance is nice.
I'll give you any reassurance you need, babe.
( she leaned up to kiss his cheek. )
( he turned his head slightly, lips just catching the corner of her mouth with a quick return kiss. )

( gently, he pulled her in for a hug, pressing another quick kiss to the top of her head in lieu of saying anything else. )
( there wasn't a hesitation from her as she wrapped her arms around him and rested her cheek against his shoulder. )
( he thought it was true, to some degree, that you knew you were really comfortable around someone when you could spend a few moments in silence with them without feeling the need to say something to fill it. a little absently, his fingers traced small patterns against her back, utterly content in that single moment. )
to think i used to be a huge will/emma shipper, then carl comes along and blows it out of the water

( this close proximity that she shared with carl clearly invaded the little bubble she had around herself that kept most people away, but she felt so comfortable with him that it didn't bother her. in fact, she might have held him a little tighter. )
same here, haha. but, oh my god, carl and emma work so well.

( he was well aware of how much closer he'd gotten to her since the first time he'd asked her on a date. it wasn't something that he took for granted; in fact, that he'd gotten anywhere at all was something he was grateful for. shifting slightly, he craned his neck, leaning in to kiss her on the lips. )
i know a little part of my will die if he doesn't stay.

( there was a small sound of surprise at the kiss, but it wasn't a protest. one of her hands slid up his back to cradle his neck while she got onto her tiptoes to lean into the kiss. )
It's too bad about that. The show really isn't the same without Eddie, and you were fantastic.
( when he pulled back, it was only by the smallest distance, his eyes meeting hers as he offered up a small smile. )
And so were you. It was a lot of fun, getting to take part.
i don't like what will's become and carl is way better.

I think--I think my heart stopped for a moment.
The whole show was a lot more fun than I expected it to be. I've only ever seen that movie once.
Yeah? I've always had a soft spot for it.
