[Aw, that's sweet. Well, she's done at the office and she has her phone if Tony needs anything so...] Sure, I'd like that.

[Sweet. Right. Let's go with that] Supposed to be headed back to New York next week so I thought I'd repay you while I still have the chance.

I apologize that I didn't really get anywhere with those break ins.

[Pepper smiled politely and nodded her head to acknowledge his sentiments.] That's quite all right. In retrospect, it could've been much worse. I'm glad that you took it seriously at all.

Of course I took it seriously. Two words that I'm sure I've mentioned before: Killer pancakes.

[Pepper had nearly forgotten that. She chuckled quietly.] How could I forget?

It's just one of those things that's pretty unforgettable. I mean, I kinda feel bad that me and Javi still joke about it because that woman was pretty terrf ified but still.

I know how that is. For me, it's my boss though. Professionalism isn't high on his list of priorities. That's what he has me for.
