No kidding! But if he had fun and it cheered him up a bit, it might be a good hobby for him to take up.

Yeah I wanted to show him that he still could have fun in his life. But once we came home he got sulky again. Feels like I am banging my head against the wall. [Sighs.]

How long ago was the accident? Isn't a bit of depression normal?
7 months. I know it may take time for him to get all right with it. That's what people keeps telling me.

I don't know if I'd say 'fun', but I've been hunting around greenhouses and nursery's looking for things to try to grow this summer.
It seemed like a hobby I could do... And then I killed pretty much everything I tried to grow last summer.
[Chuckles a bit.] That's why I don't grow stuff, they always dies.
You've tried? Did you have any luck? I tried to grow peas, which I was assured could not be murdered.

Do I look like the kind of guy who would have that as an hobby? [Frowns.] No, I haven't grown that kind of stuff but I have had plants in my room. Which always dies. I helped my dad with our garden at times but I only made things worse.
I don't like to judge people on appearance. You could have been a master gardener for all I know. But it sounds like you're as bad as I am.

Had... I had a dog but he was killed by a psycho. My dog's name was Clyde and he was German Shepard.
... He was killed? Did you... Oh god. That's just. Did they arrest the guy?
No, he got away and when I was trying to confront him my boyfriend got pissed at me.... we had the worst argument possible over it. He was just worried that I might get hurt but I was too stubborn to realize it.
