I was thinking about going to the edge of the universe. I still would love to see the view from there.

[Okay, of the answers she was expecting, that wasn't one of them.]

[ The Doctor turns around to see where the voice came from. A human girl, now this is going to be awkward to explain. ]

Oh, um, the end of the universe. [ He grumbles. ] Ah right, you're a human.

[caecitas]

And you're not. [There's something off about him--a scent that she can't quite place. Something metallic, and bloody, and vast. Claudia steps forwards, very much in his personal space, and takes another sniff.

She raises her hands to his face, but stops. Something about him makes even Claudia Brown hesitate.]

[ There's also the sweet smell of honey that she will pick-up on when she takes another sniff. The Doctor was about to step back, but he stops while he watches her. ] No, I'm not. Go on if you must.

[Space invading is something he's used to, well it's something that he tends to do to others. Should she decide to touch him, she will notice that his skin is cool to the touch. This is all thanks to the binary circulatory system he has been blessed with. ]

[Normally, she's deliberately creepy when she does this. All pokes and prods, delicate tracing the jawbone with her fingernails. But with him, she's focused, almost reverent. She learns his face like a song, commits it to memory, and leans back and gives a light, satisfied grunt.]

The End of the Universe?

Sorry for the delay, RL stuff.

They say, the view from the end is rather breath taking. And, it's believed you can look back on everything you have done in your life time. [ The Doctor's not the least bit put-off by how she's using her hands to 'see' him. ]

[Claudia tilts her head to the side. Curious and curiouser.] Is this the end from a physical or temporal perspective?

That's the problem, nobody has ever been to the very end. There are some stuffy old rules that make any travel there forbidden.

I seem to recall a saying about rules and breaking them.

I'm an expert at that, but this is one of those harder rules to break. I should know, I have tried to do it before, but I was stopped.

Any obstacle has a way of surmounting it, Mister Velvet.

I know this to be fact, but some obstacles are a lot more difficult to surmount. [ He makes a bewildered face when she calls him, Mister Velvet. He's been called worse names before, and he dusts his jacket off. ] Name's, The Doctor.
