Steve sees things are no different from the sacrifices even if he spent the majority of his time in special operations. The very motto of, 'No man left behind' is one he lives by, but even sometimes he knows when hard sacrifices need to be made.

Steve turns his head to glance down towards the depths of the hall of the shatterdome to where the Jaegers were being stored. "I've worked with enough men of questionable motives during my time in service, but I was always willing to give them the benefit of the doubt to prove themselves."

He starts to walk off towards Pentecoast's office with his hands at his side. "And, right now we need every person possible to sacrifice themselves for the very good of the human race."
