Ah, fair point. But then Heed isn't like the Dragons around here, if they do that they're no better than monsters, and then I guess it makes sense why they have people trying to kill them all the time.

Yes well, we have not had the best of experiences with dragons, and no everyone has known you since they were small like I have.

It's ok. Most of yeh have some natural bias. At least I know yeh know that I'm a nice one. And maybe there are other nice ones out there somewhere. Though I suppose when yeh as big as the dragons seem to be around here it's easy to be a bully, or a monster.

And have such an appetite for gold and treasure. Such things are the root of much trouble... even for the best of us.

There's more important things than wealth, even where Heed is from. Friends especially. But hoarding all that gold doesn't sound like fun, anyway. Nice to look at maybe but not a lot else.

I have never had much desire for wealth and power either. I am much happier as I am.

Well yeh are the head of the guard, right? But it does seem like yeh elves can be happy living in comfort but without all that money. And my favourite things in life I can do without any.

Flying, of course, lots of flying, and from that all the nice places I can visit without much difficulty. And hunting is fun, though I guess since meeting humans I haven't been doing that as much. How about yeh, Tauriel?

I have always loved going beyond the forest and looking up into the night sky. The stars... they have always been very special to me. They hold memories that are most dear to me.

They're certainly very beautiful, though if I ever get the chance to yeh should come into space with me and see them up close. What sort of memories, if yeh don't mind Heed asking?

My mother used to tell me stories about them when I was very small, and I used to sneak out to climb up beyond the trees and see them myself. One night I fell, and was found out, so I was banned from doing such a thing, but my Father would sometimes wake me up and take me out so that I could still go see them.

*She sounded a little sad, when she told the story. She missed them terribly sometimes.*

[Lockheed could tell from her tone that it made her feel saddened, and he gently patted her side with a paw as he sat beside her.]

Yeh father sounds like a good person, I'm glad he did that for yeh. Though I would be worried too if I had known yeh had fallen out of a tree. My parents were very protective of me when I was young too. There was a lot of danger on my world, even before the Brood came.

But it's nice to have something special like that. Nice memories.

Orcs raided our settlement when I was still very young. They left none alive.... My mother, she told me to stay in the trees and hide and not to come down. It is what saved me. I do not remember much of them, but I remember the stars.
