Sounds like you got a real exciting night ahead of ya.

Typical Friday night?

Sounds a lot like my every night. Except I usually find myself watching the classics instead of horror.

Crawford and Gable, yep. Those are my guys.

The good ole days. Simpler times. Miss 'em desperately.

A woman after my own heart. There's nothing more perfect than the imperfect, I say.

A pleasure, Ms. Windsor. What is it that you do?

*chuckles*

I couldn't possible relate. I'm a senior reporter for The Daily Planet. I assume you've heard of it.

That very one.

As they should! We pride ourselves on our extensive readership, and integrity. It's an honor and a thrill to walk through these hallowed halls each day, I assure you.

Well. It was taken away from me awhile. So now that I've got it back, there's no way in hell I'm taking it for granted.

Years ago, I found myself following the trail of a very, very controversial story involving a very, very powerful man. Before I could publish it, he found out and did everything in his power to run me out of town. I spent the next ten years or so working for the scum papers of the earth. Not a good time for me.

Don't sweat it. I'm back where I belong now.

We do have that duty and obligation. Unfortunately, there are those who are hellbent on stopping us from fulfilling it.

They never do.

[identity profile] to-littleville.livejournal.com 2008-10-04 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
Sure, so long as you don't waste your time with unrealistic expectations. I don't.

Glad to hear it.
