Cigarettes and cancer. The young lady who posted earlier has a terrific goal - I just like to remind people that cancer's the sickness, not cigarettes.
That's awful - it's a devastating disease. My condolences.
And yes, we here at the Institute for Tobacco Studies believe that people should use caution as well as choice. We want our customers to stay healthy, happy, and living - dead people don't smoke, after all!
That's the problem; there're a lot of things out there that can kill you.
It's up to you, me, and every individual out there to make an informed decision for ourselves. It's all about choices. We can all agree that freedom is one of the most precious things we have.
ooc: I'd like to note that I'm violently anti-smoking, but...hey, wait, I'm sure you're anti-murder - I hope. :D
Yes, there are a lot of things that can kill you. A lot, indeed...
*wonders if this man should... play a game*
OOC: I understand. Muse opinion =/= mun opinion! And yes, the mun is happy to admit she is completely anti-murder! *grin* *thwaps muse, who is still protesting that he has never killed anyone*
Exactly. After all, since you said you're avoiding carcinogens - a very wise choice, I think, given your medical history - you're not eating grilled meat, right? You sound like you've done your research. You probably know the one that surprised me - peanut butter! Who knew we needed warning labels on Skippy?
The lab guys tell me that aspergillus flavusis an example of a potent, naturally-occurring microbial carcinogen found on stored grains and peanut butter. Amazing, isn't it?
And you don't have to tell me how bad fried carbs are - cholesterol, calories, AND acrylamide? How about a little death with those fries, am I right?
The Institute for Tobacco Studies has an ongoing study to try and find a formal link between cigarettes and cancer. Although we're constantly evaluating our findings, we've been unable to find any definite proof.
Cigarettes and cancer - plus, it's still a free country, and this is still one of the choices available to you, so you can enjoy your freedom every time you choose to light up.
