It is. It doesn't really last long, though. The way I'm built, I can handle it.

I think it's the fancy phrase for the Gods up there who run the show. If you believe in that sort of thing, of course.

I don't know, I've always been agnostic myself. But it's nice to have something to blame this sort of thing on.

I find myself blaming it more on society, in general. I don't really give much actual thought to the men upstairs.

How about genetics? I'd sooner blame that than anything else.

It's funny. I couldn't even tell you if my little 'gift' is genetics. I was struck by lightning when I was little, and that's when it started. But who knows if that caused it, or activated something. I'm not a fan of doctors, so I've just lived with the mystery.

Oh, I know mine's genetic. Could've done without getting confirmation from my parents, though.

Ahh... everything? I sort of absorb the abilities of other special people.

Not really. It got a little dicey but I've learned to control them all.

That stuff's not too bad when you've got a handle. Once you've been at it for a couple of decades, it's not too bad.

It's happened about 16 times, and no one's been hurt by it yet. They usually give me a look and run away.
