...What boy? Concerned, rather than shocked. Or would you rather I not ask 'til... it's decided?

The boy is called Mordred. And he will kill Arthur - unless the warlock can stop him.

For a time, perhaps.

Arthur's destiny is to unite the land of Albion and rule as the once-and-future-king. Mordred stands in the way of that - he is Destined to kill Arthur. The warlock knows his Destiny is to protect Arthur.

It is all about Time - events are so close for an eye trained to centuries. Yet one or two years may be enough to darken history beyond help.

He is best to kill the boy now, when we can be certain. And then how Arthur will die I cannot say.

The conflicts of Destiny weigh heavy on my mind.
