[He's tossing the apple up and catching it like a ball.]

I really appreciate the offer - I'm just... kind of wanting something more substantial than an apple. ...I don't think I've eaten yet today. [It was kind of hard to remember. It'd been one of those days.]

[At that Crews bites into his apple and waits for Reid to finish on the phone.]

So... This is what it's like at the FBI? [He looks around.] Kinda boring.

Well, it's been a slow day. [No cheese on what he'd ordered - he specified. But he could still look forward to his penne with chicken marinara without parmesan.] Mostly mail-outs. No cases that we need to fly out for. Don't bet on it continuing for long and be glad you get to go home at a decent time today.

I adore Patinkin, but this wasn't his best role.

[He shrugs.]

I've been working as a homicide detective in LA... I'm used to weird hours.

[He'll skip over what spending 12 years in maximum prison for a crime he didn't commit did to his hours. He cocks his head, presuming that everyone in the FBI knew about his past before he got here.]

I... I kind of figure it's your business. We all have things that... if we want to talk about it? We'll bring it up. [Spencer, at least, was content to leave the past in the past. Unlike Morgan. Morgan would probably grill the guy. Especially after what happened with Emily.] But it's really up to you.

[He takes another bite of his apple and chews for a few minutes.]

You remind me of Reese, my partner. She was like that too.

Oh yeah? [His brows raised. That, at least, sounded like a safe topic.] How do you mean?

Not wanting to know... Not asking questions, waiting until she couldn't hold in whatever it was and then exploding...

[Okay, so that last part he might be projecting onto Reid.]

I... I dunno. [He sighed.] I'm feeling hungry but I'm feeling a little weird.

[baufatherfigure]

Because of Curie? Or because you don't feel well? [He was concerned.]

I'm not sure. I... I mean, I know I want something substantial to eat, but I feel kind of... Weird. [He shifted a little in his seat.] Kind of like I just... want to get up and walk or something.

[baufatherfigure]

Have you tried that? I mean, we could go on a walk together, and I'll bring those take-out flyers of yours. If you don't want to, it's fine too.

[angustifolium]

That sounds good to me. [He nodded, offering Aaron a small smile. He just felt antsy. Maybe the caffeine was finally getting to him.] We don't even need the flyers. We can just... find something while we're walking.

[baufatherfigure]

We can do that too. [He stood up and smiled gently at him, holding a hand out for him.] Just a walk; work off that energy of yours.

[angustifolium]

[Spencer took the offered hand and smiled as he stood.] Thanks. I just... It's so weird. I've never really felt like this before.

[baufatherfigure]

You're welcome. And if you- if you still feel strange when we're out on our walk and everything, you tell me. Sound good?

I will. [It was the least that he could do, after all. But at least some of this energy was going to be worked off. He squeezed Aaron's hand and started to draw him outside.]

[Aaron followed, more than willing to let his lover take the lead in this and smiling softly.] ...I've been meaning to go on a walk anyway. So this'll be good for me and you.

[angustifolium]

You really were planning on taking a walk? [He kind of doubted that, but at this point, he wasn't going to question it too much. He led the both of them down the street.]
