Can you maintain the OOC for a moment and tell me what's the deal with all the roleplaying going on? Always fun to see, I confess, but is it just a few members or everyone (except me, clearly...)?

I honestly don't have a clue. I only rarely jump in myself in-character, if I'm bored (i.e. last night). But just to be safe, if I want to leave a comment like the one I just did--as soon as I read your entry it immediately popped in my head, I couldn't help it--I mark it OOC. *shrug?*

Fair enough. It just seems that every post I check out is in-character, which is slightly frustrating because I don't want to make a whole new LJ account just to join in as such. Ah well. :)

You can join in using the journal you have. Just because the person is talking IC doesn't mean that you can't reply to them as you yourself would :)

I know, but... well, for one thing the name of this journal is the name of one of my own original characters, so sometimes I'd be tempted to use her, and for another there are enough Doctor Who fans in here that jumping in as someone from that universe is almost irresistible...

Have different icons perhaps? Most of the time people just look at what's written anyway rather than the journal name, and there are a couple of people here that have 'catch all' muse journals.

Could do. I'm a basic account, though, so it'd be tricky to sort my measly 6 icons out to work like that. ;) I'm getting more and more tempted to give it a go, though...
