The Maiar believe that in tales passed on that a land maybe reborn and times come anew. I have yet to see these tidings but the Maiar are wiae beyond even my comprehension.
For an eagle it is paradise but to those who must travel on the ground it is a perilous place of rocks and wild woods.
I am not versed in all man's lore but I would think "Angel" or "Guardian Servant" might apply. They serve the Valar though some have been corrupted through time. Yes, Angel would do.
Gwaihir nodded his large head. You must travel far then.
You're right of course, but I do not imagine once I've settled I will be travelling as broadly as I do. I don't mind - it's a ways away before I need to seriously think about things of that nature.

I am Nyssa of Traken.

Gwaihir turns his head down to study her.
I have not heard of such a place but then I do not keep track of the names men put upon the world.
no subject
*nods her head*
Traken is gone; I imagine not many would know of it.
no subject
We eagles have watched many worlds go but there is always one to fill its place.
no subject
Traken was completely taken. There is nothing there but a memory and the light of destruction.
no subject
Come. It will be warmer before me.
That is the way of many worlds. Memory is all that remains of time and places that have passed from sight.
no subject
Thank you.
They are good memories -- I am lucky. Where do you come from, Lord Gwaihir?
no subject
I believe your people refer to the area as the Wilderlands. We have other names for it but none your voice could repeat.
no subject
*nods* I understand. Is it very nice there?
no subject
For an eagle it is paradise but to those who must travel on the ground it is a perilous place of rocks and wild woods.
no subject
*chuckles* That sounds like a good many places I have been.

Gwaihir nodded his large head. You must travel far then.
no subject
*nods herself* Very far - it broadens the mind.
no subject
That is something an Eagle understands.
no subject
I don't think I could have it any other way, really!
no subject
The freedom to travel as one pleases is not something any being would freely relent.
no subject
I suppose one day I will wish to settle, I've been told it's the nature of things, but until then I will be free like the wind.

Gwaihir settled in comfortably. I would hear a tale of your home if it would please you. I collect tales of many races and lands.
