...Also, I believe death can come at any time and will not be cheated for too long for most. There are those who try vainly to push their frail mortality past what it can endure. I saw a ninety year old who looked sixty, today. They may have looked healthy and strapping, but their body was internally as old as it was supposed to be..

I remember hearing once that life burns most brightly in the shortest lived creatures. I've always wondered if it was true and if so what it said about those with whom mortality is always questionable.

Perhaps they do.

Above all else, the ability to reinvent one's self, is the best tool those with questionable mortality can acquire. Never mind that the inner core of them never changes; rarely anything changes that. If nothing else, it keeps the boredom at bay.

Difficult to reinvent oneself when there are certain standards one is held to. Not impossible, but difficult.

And yet it happens.

Believe me, dear. If I can get him to learn to adapt and change, I bet we can give you a little life makeover too.
