I guess I'm just finally letting go of everything that has happened. My own personal reality isn't so torturous anymore.

None of that is important, however. How have you been?

I've been doing a lot better, and damn, I'm happy to say that. [Smiles again] I've .. actually been talking to my ex-girlfriend, Ava, the one who cheated on me two years ago. She's the .. one who kind of ruined me, the one who I've been trying to get over. And .. I think it's happened. We're talking like we're friends, and we've forgiven each other for the shit that happened. I just have to work on closure with shit with my father, but .. it's not so easy when the person's dead.

How so?

It stopped calling me. I left voicemail after voicemail and still no reply. I guess I upset it somehow.

Sounds like fun.

It's not so bad. Far better than keeping close contact with it.
