I would think the standing and sitting back down might be a good test. Exercise, sort of. And, if you can still stand, than having another drink might be an okay decision.
*she looks at him, wondering about discipline, wondering if there's a past with less discipline*
No harm meant, my dear, it's just how I talk... I suppose. You'd think people wouldn't be so surprised that I'm always talkin' like this, but it gets them every time.

Maybe one glass.

A glass, for you jelly bean. *red wine, very dry, large glass*
How's that going - the whole world thing?
no subject
Thank you. *He raises the glass and then takes a sip*
I take it one day at a time.

Do you like wine? I should've probably asked what you would like to drink.
One day at a time. Rescue by rescue. Sip by sip. *she also takes a sip of wine*

I like the occasional glass of wine and I'm not very picky when it comes to alcohol.
Try to look at it any other way and you'll get discouraged really quick.

Not picky? I'll take that as a good thing. (is that a good thing?)
Well you just rescued me from the dreadful thought of enjoying this wine alone.

It can be either. I try to keep it to one or two glasses a sitting these days.
All in a days work.

Do you restart the count if you stand and sit back down? *couldn't resist the ask*
no subject
No. I try to be a bit disciplined.
