OK. Um, I'm Morgan. I write. *Unscrews the Thermos top and pours out into one of those hotel coffee cups. His wings aren't visible, but his shadow reflects them*
I traveled a lot myself. As a kid, me and my mom. *glances at her and smiles* One year I had a birthday in Cairo, and the next in Japan.
A writer. That's... cool. I've known a couple of writers.
I've been more or less traveling for the last few years, nonstop... which is really fun, but this is kind of the first time I've traveled alone in... a while. I've never been anywhere as far as Japan, though. Was it amazing?
We're an eccentric bunch. Unfortunately a talent for words doesn't always translate into conversation; we tend to be geeks. Here you go. *Hands her her mug, then pours out one for himself. He's glancing at her a little admiringly, being a guy and all, but is mellow about it.*
It sounds neat. For work?
Japan was completely off the hook. Everyone should try a visit at least once. Helps to have someone along who knows the language or has been there, but again...awesome.
I knew a really sweet kid who was a writer. A little *too* sweet if you ask some of my friends, but we looked out for him.
*is kind of aware of his admiring stares, but playing it cool. Takes a sip of her cocoa*
I'm not sure if "work" is the best way to describe it... I was with some bands, actually. I'm thinking about meeting up with one of them again, but I'm still... not sure about that.
Geez. Japan. I've been all over the US, and I just got back from England, but that's so awesome.
I've been accused. But one has to avoid becoming too accommodating. Except in certain situations, anyway.
Traveling with a band can be a ton of work, depending on what part you're playing. Did you have a good experience with that band before?
My Dad has a summer home near Kyoto, though we need to give the place a serious refurbish. It's...quiet. It's a good place to be alone and think, or bring a friend or two.
Oh. That must have been really interesting sometimes. Now me, I'd write stories about the experience. I don't know how you are with that sort of thing, though. Unless you would like a ghost writer. *winks*
Well, it's an odd sort of venture. The family had the cash to get it, but we're having to refurbish it all ourselves.
I'm staying at Dad's place. My writing has been selling well, but uh...it won't keep up a New York apartment. So, back to the West Coast I go.
*smirks* Yeah. It was - actually, my writer friend I mentioned? That's how I met him: he was on the road with us, covering the whole thing for Rolling Stone.
Me, myself? I'm not so much a writer. I don't really have any particular gifts like that.

I've some hot chocolate and a bag of Dad's stress-bakings, if you want. *holds up bulging paper bag* He seems to think I eat twice what I do.

*closes eyes, sighing* A summer home. Wow. I barely even have a *home* home.

I think you have me confused with someone else... my name's Polexia.

For Hank Henshaw is upon...
Ahem. With you.

Mm-hmm. And exactly who *are* you?

I'm just... me. I travel a lot. Usually with rock bands. I'm on my own at the moment, though.
*archly* That doesn't answer the original question, though.

Who's this Rogue you keep mentioning?

Very lovely, shark-toothed though she may be.
I imagine you will make her acquaintance before terribly long.
