Wow, 7. That's sleeping in for me.

I worked 'till 4.

I would have just stayed up then. Three hours doesn't help me push through a double.

Didn't want to be a zombie while drivin' my kid to school.

In New York traffic, no I supposed you don't.

Not to mention I had to have a lil' energy to make 'im breakfast and lunch, and a snack for the Y after school program.

Well, you're doing more than my dad the cop ever did. Good for you.

*blushes a bit, looking down at his shoes*

Yeah, and that's a good thing. Be proud of that.

I am. He's worth it and I gotta make his mother proud.

Any time before noon's too early. *Sips at coffee wanting to go back to bed.* Unfortunately... Have to go track down my partner. The stupid idiot got himself thrown in jail.

Yikes. How'd he manage that one?

Picked a fight with an off duty cop in a bar. He was hitting on the bar tender, who just happened to be the cop's little sister. I tried to warn him but when punches started flying, I stepped back.

*winces playfully*

That's one way to end up in the slammer.

Yeah, so no I have to locate the jail to go bail him out. He's lucky he's useful at times I'm still tempted on letting him sit there another day. *Grins* Would mean I'd get some sleep.

So I take it yer a cop also?

Not really, I deal with a lot of cops though. *Smiles* Private investigator. *She slipped a card out of her wallet, it read Paranormal investigator.* Everywhere I go in I'm invited. My partner does all the research, I check the place, sometimes with a cop with me.

*Looks impressed*

The boys in blue have used paranormal investigators before. It's a cool gig, though I wouldn't know the first thing about it.

It's a job. Beats the hell out of busing tables in a dive bar at least.
