Of course I'll back down, since you're so clearly reasonable about your own well being.

You're afraid of living because you've never let yourself live before. So instead of taking the chance you pull away before anything get to close to resembling a normal, healthy life that you can and most likely will leave behind. This trial and Foreman are exactly that.

I have no problem living my life, but I'm not going to waste my time trying to prolong it when it could just as easily have the opposite affect.

Because the life you're living now is so happy and fulfilling. You wouldn't have tried the trial if part of you hadn't realized it was worth the risk.
