Hmm. Maybe I'm not too creative, but I've always thought great books make even greater gifts.

I'm probably not the best person to ask, though. The only person I ever buy gifts for is my dad.

*thinks* Depends on what sort of book he likes, I guess. Do you know what his tastes run to?

*sighs* Well... I guess you can't go wrong with the classics?

Maybe it would be easier to take him for a nice, romantic dinner. Or... to be honest, I'm not sure. I think most of my ideas about this kind of thing come from the aforementioned books I spend way too much time reading.

A guitar, hm? He sounds fun.

I think I read *too* much, so it all balances out. My dad got me hooked from a very early age, and we traveled so much that was sort of the only thing to do. *sheepish smile* And there's always the fact that I hide behind books instead of making new friends at every new school, too.

I really enjoy music, but I know I don't know enough about it.

*shrugs* I read everything, from biographies to the classics to obscure poetry to political essays to trashy romances. I've even been known to pick up a reference book from time to time, though in my defense it's almost always for a distinct reason. I...

*wry* Yeah. It's official. I definitely read too much. I need a new hobby.

Tickets to see his favorite sports team are usually a safe bet.

That would make it more difficult then, I suppose.

A favorite musician or a play perhaps, or a weekend getaway, if you can be sure he'll have the time off.

It depends on what you two like. You can rent a cabin in the mountains - Tahoe, Rockies, or whatever is nearby, or a cottage on the beach. If you like something more tropical, Hawaii or the Caribbean is very nice.

Some friends of mine went to Salaminos recently, and they said it's beautiful there this time of year.

That sounds great. I hope you two have a wonderful time.

Nice to meet you, Mag. I'm Stella. Stella Bonasera.

*tries to muffle her laugh* That sounds like something my boyfriend would do.

*shakes Mag's hand*

*grins* If you hide both, they won't let him come in.

I don't mind. I'm a CSI with the NYPD.

*laughs* Does he bring them home with him? If he does, you can steal them. If he doesn't, he probably won't risk walking to work without them.
