Any New York gang wears yellow?

[identity profile] i-metrobius.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, gay men who like to get ...oops, I'll keep it family friendly.

*squints to get a better look* Have we met?

Oh no, just being in a good mood. You should try it sometime.

But if it helps, if I knew, I would tell. Sorry, carry on. I'll just be over here with my pitcher of martinis and pool boy.

The Latin Kings.

I'm not an expert in these matters, so I'm afraid I can't help you there. It's entirely possible of course that any gang could choose to use yellow, but the Latin Kings are apparently one of the oldest and largest American street gangs. Out of Chicago, but there is a prominent New York branch as well. They might be your best bet.

What the other guy said. And Jamaican Posse and True to the Heart according to Kowalski. Me, I don't have a clue.

Who the hell names these gangs? "True to the Heart." Jesus Christ.

Yeah. Juice 46 does. They're like Cuban or something. They scare the shit out of me, Murphy.

Not in my neighborhood but close. Near my school.

[identity profile] shoesandweapons.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Latin Kings are gold, not yellow. But yellow might have fallen in like baby blue and light pink did for the Crips and the Bloods.

[identity profile] shoesandweapons.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
It's hard to get gold clothes, too. But chances are they call a yellow shirt "gold", and anyone who knew 'em would call it "gold" too.

[identity profile] x-in-silhouette.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 10:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Yellow and what else?

[identity profile] x-in-silhouette.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
No active New York street gangs wear just yellow, so you're good. The closest would probably be the Latin Kings, who wear yellow and gold. You get an eye on any tattoos, beads, or other kind of symbols, or is this just hypothetical?
