(no subject)

Can't fight the inevitable forever, right?

Correct.

It doesn't hurt to try, though.

No way. No point in trying to go against something that's already set in motion.

Though I'd like to think I can alter the direction the "inevitable" is heading towards. Make it work in my favor.

Well, if you're sure something is going in a certain direction, then you can try to do little things to make it possibly turn your way. Or, at least make it seem better.

Uhmmmm, okay. Let me try to think of something... wait!

Okay, so, you throw an apple into the air. The inevitable is that it's going to come back down and hit something hard. The ground, most likely, right? But- you can place something underneath the apple as it falls, like a pillow or something, which would make the fall more bearable for the apple. So you've changed the inevitable slightly, from making the apple crash land with a splat, to making it take a rest in a cozy cushion.

...I hope that wasn't too confusing. Sometimes it works, other times, it doesn't. I just go and try to adapt in whatever way I can if it doesn't.

Glad I could help... if it did. If not, at least I provided some comfort.

That's why it's called 'inevitable'.

I would fight against that as long as possible.

What is your friend doing?
ext_449159: (Default)

[identity profile] star-core.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
And they won't let him leave?
ext_449159: (glancing away)

[identity profile] star-core.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
He still might return after he's finished.

I wouldn't think so. He might have time to visit once in a while.

It's better than nothing.

Are you just friends?

You could go with him.
ext_449159: (sorry)

[identity profile] star-core.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
... You should try. I hope they would.

[identity profile] heavens-heir.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
...we don't know for sure that we'll have to say goodbye.

[identity profile] heavens-heir.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
That depends if you want to stay or not.

[identity profile] heavens-heir.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Then let me try to reason with them. If they don't like what they hear... I'll threaten to leave if they don't do as I say.

[identity profile] heavens-heir.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll do everything I can...
