Considering I haven’t slept in the last few days, I’m not entirely in tune with the concepts of early, late, or really much of anything. Time is an illusion to me.
Sounds like a tag line for a fragrance, or something. Sucks to be you though. Even I need sleep. Having said that, I don't think I've slept at night for a long time.
Does it now? I suppose sleep deprivation can do funny things to an individual. I'm used to it though. Lately it's been a bit wearing, but to be honest, I've not even really tried sleeping either. I suppose I'm just as guilty as I am tired.
It can be a vicious cycle once you stay awake. Guess at some stage you get to the point where you're too tired to sleep. Although, eventually, you're going to probably meet floor. Or at least I did. It wasn't pretty.
I'm pretty sure I'd be able to match any embarrassing stories so you didn't feel like it was just you. Kind of like a trade. But when you're ready. I am actually capable of patience sometimes.
So long as I can keep a few things close at hand, I'm down with continuing nightfall. Oh, and there should be a burger worked in there somewhere... maybe some music to fall asleep to.
I'll have to take you up on your offer sometime then. The least I could do for you now is oblige you with a name. Lex Luthor.
Wait, a burger? Well, we definitely can't go to sleep on an empty stomach. I'm more prone to a cup of tea before bed myself but to each his or her own, I suppose.
We'll have see about that, Andie. I have a sneaking suspicion that I, once upon a time, had a knack for being… ungainly of sorts. Managed to get me into a lot of trouble as well. Ah, good times, good times.
And yes, I do have a particular kind. Earl Grey mostly, but occasionally I'll indulge in a cup of Darjeeling.
I'd hardly call it 'perfumey', but it can be strong. To me a strong Earl Grey is the only way to drink it. You see, Earl Grey is a black tea with the added oil of bergamot that Darjeeling lacks. So while Darjeeling is tasteful, it just doesn’t put me in a restful mood.
Speaking of restful... I think I'll be trying that sleeping thing we both mentioned previously. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors to do the same.
I hope you can find a decent burger joint that would be open this la--early... Goodnight—morning..

Here's to hoping we fall safely asleep, conceivably somewhere comfortable, hm?

I'll definitely go along with that. Preferably a nice comfy bed with big fluffy pillows.

Fluffy pillows, cool, silk sheets, and several more hours of nightfall. Now that sounds delightful.

Yeah, a burger. See, I'm usually starving before bed. Tea, huh? Can't say I've ever tried that one before. You drink a particular kind?

Earl Grey's the perfumey one, right? I remember my mom drinking that. So Darjeeling's like a treat for you?

I should track some down and try it out again. I hope you do get some sleep, Lex. Sweet dreams and all that.
Thanks, and good morning/night/sleep.
