the children from the foster program decided that if they all pray hard enough then the baby will be born with three eyes. I'm fairly certain they are serious about it as well.

Children are capable of understanding a great deal of faith that adults seem to miss.

It is a shame. A friend explained that as children grow up they're taught to ignore the mysteries and focus on the reality.

The mass was still in Latin, the barriers still up between clergy and congregation. He loved the hymns, and the sheer beauty of the prayers. We'd leave the church, and he'd still be reciting the Agnes Dei...

*gives her a small smile* I'm more inspired by their excitement. Rarely do you find many adults thrilled to make their way to mass.

You mentioned their faith. I would think a speaker would choose his words more carefully. As to the excitement, children are often eager to get out of the house at all. I would not be surprised if they showed the same or even greater excitement about going to a friend's house or to the park.

I've never seen so much candy and cookies dissapear so quickly.
