Mm, not yet. But I'm sorry to say that I'm not optimistic it'll stay that way.

Insert platitude about perpetuating the cycle of violence (however metaphorical!) here.
Who's losing an eye today?

We all know how many people actually abide by those sayings in this day and age.
Today? It'd probably be better you didn't know.

Yeah. I'm not sure I believe they ever really did. Although hey, what do I know, I don't remember any other age.

I'm relatively sure humanity as a whole hasn't changed as much as people like to think it has.
You could put it that way.

Somebody told me that when people talk about the 1950s like they were so perfect, really it just seemed like it because everybody was lying and having abortions and closeted affairs in secret. So, yeah, probably not.

At least people aren't all about hiding it now, I suppose.
Yeah, well. I'd say it was because they spend their time upholding the law as opposed to breaking it, but that's not really the case, either.

To an extent. Maybe it'll be totally different one day, who knows.
Pretty fucking much. It's not like there's anything anybody can do about it, though.

I have faith in change, but how big of a change it'll be - like you said, who knows.
Beyond trying to avoid dealing with them? Nope.

I hope
somebody
does.
I figured. I guess it could be a hell of a lot worse than LVPD.
