What is the perfect Christmas gift?

For amusement?

Oh--anything by Wilde or Hardy...and Mr. Stoker's new book, Dracula, is excellent, though some may find it a bit offensive.

Time with family and friends...not exactly a gift for most.

Why do you believe it does?

What about friendship for friendship?

Art of any kind.

It usually works. If you are not sure of their particular taste, a gift certificate can take the trouble out of it.

I am a painter and sculptor.

Agreed. I'd pick something out, at least they knew I went to the trouble of looking.

Alex Murphy isn't drawing checks anymore.

I do favors when I can.

What can I do for you?

One that is chosen with thought and knowledge of the individual it is for.

There is no universal perfect present. But usually there are such for each person.

Do you really know that person you want a perfect gift for so little? What they like, what they dislike; what they want and what they dream of? *a beat* You still have a little time - you can ask careful questions and listen to the answers.

*eyetwinkle* Yeah, usually. Try finding out twenty or more perfect presents. But the joy when they open the presents? Totally worth it.

Something the person can use.

Think then it depends on what you want the gift to say to her.

I'd say a day at the spa. You know get her hair and nails done, a massage all that. Best way to show a woman they're appreciated.

Love! *nods* Love.
