Do I invite trouble or something?

Not very smart, if you ask me.

Prob'ly not.

I just keep walkin' into real troublesome situations an' I'm tryin' to figure out how t'curtail that.

Granted, askin' that question's prob'ly invitin' trouble in and of itself. *sighs* There's no winnin' sometimes.

Something happened?

I more'r less walked into at least two life-threatenin' situations today alone, mostly outta dumb curiosity. *shakes her head* Really need to know when to shut my mouth sometimes.

So, what happened?

Outta some mix of luck and a very belated flight instinct, nothin', thank God. One'a the guys could, ah... do what I can, but he was a lot stronger. The other one... *shakes her head* flames or somethin'. Outta his hands. Freaked me right out. Got me wonderin' why sometimes I feel compelled t'strike up conversations with people even if I have a bad feelin' about it. I'm hopin' I don't see 'em round again.

Maybe it'd be better if you hung around me a little more...

P'raps. I... really need t'learn where I should an' shouldn't poke my nose in. I might not always get so lucky.

Well, you're not the only one with that problem... I know a younger, human alternate of myself that always seemed to get herself into trouble.

*shakes her head, smiling a bit* How does that even work?

Alternate realities, as in, she's from another universe. Thankfully she hasn't followed me here from the Nexus, where I usually hang out, because that could get confusing.

[She smiles a little.] Well anyway, she's a really nice girl, but kind of a narcissist and hits on everything that moves...

Yeah, that would get confusing... at least she's not too annoying or anything. S'always a plus.

I suppose she could be worse.
Well... I expect she might jokily compliment you on your looks, if you met her... [Just like she did to the vampire herself. Heh.]

*giggles* Joke compliments are still fun.
