I can't get married!

*hides from her*

[identity profile] guiltybutclumsy.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Aren't you a bit too young to be getting married anytime soon.

[identity profile] guiltybutclumsy.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Sweetie,I wish I could but I don't know this person so I can't really tell her not to say these type of things. But maybe if you just explained to her she might understand.

[identity profile] guiltybutclumsy.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, how about this ,my sweet. You even forget you had the conversation, or you tell her your getting married to me. *Smiling at how sweet this little dude is.*

[identity profile] guiltybutclumsy.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Sweetie,I don't actually want to marry you.But this might be something to stop her talking to you about getting married.Or as i said you could just ignore her.Which is the obvious thing to do.

[identity profile] guiltybutclumsy.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 10:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I sure hope I don't seem weird to you.I really wouldn't want that.May i ask how old you are. You seem to have a old head on your shoulders if you've realised women are women. That their weird too.

[identity profile] mlle-pourdeux.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
*amused* Oh, is that so?

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Consider it more of a...future engagement.

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Yasmine Kate Fisher, I'm almost twelve, five foot three, like dancing, dogs and flowers and I hate tacos. Who're YOU?

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
*examines thoughtfully* Old 'nough.

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
You're at LEAST as old as my OTHER fiancee...

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Duh. Everyone does. My first one left me alone and desolate. *collapses melodramatically onto the ground*

[identity profile] poet-prouvaire.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Please--Jean, or Jehan, or Prouvaire, or any combination thereof.

*grin*

I think you are fairly safe. She cannot force marriage upon you.

A kiss maybe, but not marriage.

*innocent poet-student-revolutionary*

Yes?

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] poet-prouvaire.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you could play along with her, that is your first option. In which case you give her flowers, poetry, take her to the theater...

Second option is to run and hide until she becomes bored.

Third option is to direct her interests in another direction.

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] poet-prouvaire.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
*tries hard not to laugh*

I believe you should be asking him.

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
But YOU'RE the grown-up...

...actually you're cute too. Will you marry me instead?

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] poet-prouvaire.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I am too old for you.

Do your parents know you are trying to find a husband at such a young age?

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
How old're you?

Uh-huh!

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] poet-prouvaire.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
*wrinkles his nose at her*

No! I am not dead.

Mon dieu.

I just know there are people from other times around here.

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Ohhh...sorry. What's your name?

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] poet-prouvaire.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
It is not a problem...I was just a bit surprised.

I am Jehan Prouvaire.

Most people call me Jehan.

*smiles*

And you are?

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-19 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I was just wondering, because if you were dead, I'd be sad.

*grins* I am Yasmine Kate Fisher. It's a pleasure to meet you. *executes a rather clumsy curtsy*

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] poet-prouvaire.livejournal.com 2009-02-20 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
I do not think I would be too happy to be dead either.

Enchante, Yasmine.

*gives her a bow. The poet has nieces and is somewhat acustomed to little girls*

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-20 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Y'think it'd be cold?

*giggles, utterly enchanted*

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] poet-prouvaire.livejournal.com 2009-02-20 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
Cold? Maybe.

I'd hate to have to drink from the river Lethe and forget everyone I've ever known, without having done much in my life.

*grins at her*

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-20 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
*eyes wide in awe* What does that MEAN?

Re: thread-hack!

[identity profile] poet-prouvaire.livejournal.com 2009-02-20 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
*snaps back to reality*

It is an old Myth. They believed that when you died you drank from the river Lethe so you could forget your old life. I guess it was so you could be born again--or maybe so you could be happy in the afterlife.

I forget to be honest. I'd have to read the story again.

[identity profile] yasmine-kate.livejournal.com 2009-02-20 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
That's really creepy. I wanna read it.

[identity profile] poet-prouvaire.livejournal.com 2009-02-20 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Mythology is interesting to read.

It could all be true, for all I know.

Like the fairy-tales?
