To go to college anywhere I want. I didn't even have to talk to her about it.

Yeah! I can't decide. East or West Coast?

I'm almost definitely going with East, but... I think either would offer really great opportunities.

I thought I wanted east, because there was this friend, but I don't talk to him much so it wouldn't be worth it.

So I'm thinking west, but it's way too hard to chose.

Hm. Which schools are you between?

NYU or UCLA. Those are the two I've narrowed it down to.

Either would be really excellent, I think. What are you studying?

History. It's what I'm best at, so I might as well study it.

*smiles* I love history. My dad's a political science professor, so I've gotten a lot of history intertwined with that. It's fascinating.

It is! It's very fascinating, and I could go the poli sci route but I think I'd rather teach or explore. I want to write a book or two on certain- I'm sounding like a geek.

You're not.

That's almost exactly what my dad's done. He's written one book, working on another - I don't think it's geeky at all, I think it's great. I've considered doing the same.

What's your favorite historical period?

Oh, God, I don't know, that's so difficult. I don't know if I have just one!

It is a hard question, but I love thinking about it.

I do, too. I wonder sometimes about what it would be like to be born in some other time - how much different it would be.

Any particular time?

I don't know... I'm kind of intrigued by the 1940s, even though they weren't that long ago. I find it fascinating how much the world has changed even in that short period of time. *a wry smile* And I read a lot of detective novels, so.

I wasn't that big a fan of the 1940s. But, it's interesting anyway.

*nods* Tudor-era England is also really intriguing, though I'm positive I'd not have liked living then.

It's fun to read about or watch a film on.

That's true.

For a while women couldn't do much of anything without a guy.

Which is... precisely why I wouldn't want to live back then, I think.
