Another Christmas, another year.

What's wrong with Christmastime?

It's another year, nothing special about it.

The birth of the savior. Honestly, it's New Years' day that is trivial, I think.

You think anyone believes that shit? To most people Christmas is a time for presents.

Please, Sir, you're in the presence of a lady and your language is offensive.

*furrows her brow* That's silly. I can get presents anytime.

*blinks*

Never been told off for my language before.

*puts on a posh accent*

Then please good lady tell me what thou loves at this fine festive time?

Then you have not known many ladies or gentlemen; it's rather tacky in any company.

*frowns*

The mark of a gentleman isn't his accent, Sir, but his behavior. If you're making fun of me...*trails off with a sigh and speaks* I like the way that the smell of baking wafts for miles. I like that in the evening the fire seems warmer. I like the way all the world looks like a frosted gingerbread house. I like that people are kind and in good spirits. I like to think that this is the anniversary of the King of King's birthday, and that without it we would each and everyone of us be doomed.

...I like the way the red birds sing, their bright plumage on white snow. I like how the cold air smells fresh.

I've never found anything special about it either.

It's pointless, it only gives people some poor excuse to look forward to another year.

That isn't going to be any different than the last...

This will be my first one completely alone. I'm not looking forward to it.

*grumbles*

You get used to it, I've always been alone during Chrismas and New Years. The hype gets me pissed.

My dad died when I was little and now, being here on this Earth, I don't have anyone else. No mum, no sister, not family friends. Nothing.

Just me.

*nods slowly*

My mother died protecting me and my brother when we were young. My father, he's dead. Go no family nothing. Seems like we're in the same boat if you ask me.

Tis the season isn't it. But then that's only if you have 800 people to spend money you don't have on.
