Really? I know a lot of men who would say sopranos get all the best parts.

Really? I don't know, you have all those great, memorable arias, La Boheme, Rigoletto. People I know always complained that Sopranos could break glass with their voices.

Don't doubt the greatness of soprano parts. There are wonderful pieces for you as well– like Il mio bel foco. And besides, it takes a very particular frequency of one's voice to break glass. They shouldn't worry so much.

Truly? How old is your daughter? My advice, voice coach, practice, and practice some more. Also, there are great music programs all over the country that teaches not only voice but technique and history.

Seventeen. I got her vocal coaching and she seems to like it a lot, but if there's anything else I can do to help her, I try. I'll start looking into music programs.

She's very lucky to have a dad like you! Encouragement is the best thing, along with going to see actual performances.
