Notices the other in the Club and strides over making her way past the others, after all it wasn't all that uncommon for a woman to approach a man in a club. Of course she had no idea who he really was, she paid no attention to that sort of crap, but she was intrigued, he looked interesting... Like no one else she saw in the club, and she wanted interesting, thats why she had "hitch hiked" to Metropolis, having heard through the grapevine that it was where one went for interesting. She sat down beside him in the large leather booth leaning in towards him so she could be heard over the loud music.
"This seat taken?"
((ooc: If I'm outta like lemme know, but it was too good an opportunity to pass up.))
Lex Luthor was surrounded by a sum of less than equal sorts, their minds already becoming more and more warped as time progresses and their highs rendering them vacantly aware of the world around them. He eyes the woman who slid in next to him with a half-smile, completely not expecting a guest in his usual neck of the club. It wasn’t a challenge by any means, nor was it intimidating. No grounds or territorial laws were broken by her presence—just sheer unsuspecting surprise.
She was interesting to say the least and Lex had a fondness for the unknown thusly he leaned in, gaining a sense of her being while he was at it before ushering a voice over the hoards so that she could hear his reply, “Not anymore apparently.”
His cohorts snickered and smiled offering to buy the new guest a drink.
[OOC: You're completely fine. It's why I posted it. ;D]
She smiled ordering what she wanted to drink before turning back to the other with a nod. Men were not usually one to turn down the company of a woman, that was just how the world worked. Well unless of course they were gay men. But she knew he most likely wasn't expecting it, she took dull notice of the others sliding into pure inebriation, be it caused by the drinks or perhaps something a bit stronger. That didn't really matter to Erin of course, after all she was here to have fun.
"Good, wouldn't want to think I was imposing on the gentlemen." She leaned back into the chair as her drink arrived and took a gracious sip of it, before smiling and nodding to the other. "It's good, my compliments to the buyer." She said with a giggle.
((ooc: I luff Lex, and party hardy lex seemed like to much fun to pass up with a character thats been in my head for a while, so thanks for not eating my head.))
The little powwow of young men that surrounded Lex seemed to take a shining to the female entry as well. Lex, however, seemed a bit more leery of them than he would be otherwise. In some situations, the people he associated with were ones on both a professional and recreational level. A young man sitting two bodies away from him was, for example, a son of some mildly important executive of his father.
Another one had been what Lex would safely refer to as, a tagalong. This particularly annoying blonde fellow was one of which his father had asked him to befriend in hopes of getting in good graces with the boy’s parents. So out of sheer disrespect for his parental unit, Lex took the boy out and introduced him to a new life of hell raising and good times. It wasn’t entirely what Lionel had expected, but the elder Luthor couldn’t complain too terribly much, the boy at least had ’friends’ now.
The young woman continued to acquire the unadulterated attention of the unnecessary others while Lex, using his eyes, swatted them away before turning now to completely face the girl. “I’d hardly call these bunch of worthless well-to-dos gentlemen, but to each his or her own, I suppose.”
He eyed her drink skeptically, but considering she was here, surely she knew the unspoken regulation of unattended beverages. “At the risk of sounding cliché, what brings you, of all places, to my little assemblage?”
[Ooc: I wanted to get my hands dirty with this character and dig deep so yeah, touching in on his history some for giggles. And I'd never eat anyone's head. I'm approachable!]
Erin had no idea who any of these men were, she should of really, but then again she wasn't really paying attention to the up and comings of business owners, or celebrities or any of that stuff. Truly she was walking into the lions den and she had no idea she was doing it.
"What brings me here, well excitement mostly. I was so sick of the damn New England weather." She said angrily taking another sip of her drink as if that might solve her problem before she placed it on the table once more. "I believe its most likely the same reason you came out tonight. Drinks, boredom, company..." She said with a wink before turning back to take look at her drink which had depleted itself a fair amount since its arrival. She wasn't to worried though, it took a fair amount to get her drunk, and this was only about her third since she had gotten there sadly.
The lot of them didn’t expect to be rightly picked from the crowds. They had come here to be forgotten faces among the masses—equals in their own right. They were mostly glad they hadn’t been discerned, but some of Lex’s little motley crew looked as though they were quite capable in relishing on their prestigious pedestals. For now, they remained as equals, however.
He listened to her tale and deciphered her words. A runaway. Those were definitely not few and far between in places like these, but she had to have been one of the more interesting intercepts he had the opportunity to meet thus far. I mean, take a look at that hair, he mused.
When she stated the true reason for being, he couldn’t help but laugh, the gesture and wink both duly noted. The gents alongside him nudged him approvingly. Lex simply shook his head, accepting yet another helping of his amber liquid. The tinkling of the ice drew his eyes downward as he swished the contents. It was going to be an interesting night, he surmised before looking back at the new arrival.
He offered her a smirk, “You’ve come to the right place then, Ms…?”
"It's Erin, Erin Wagner, but don't call me miss, that makes me feel old." She said shaking her head a bit as she ordered herself another round making herself feel quite at home at the table now. Erin had a way of doing that, she was naturally outgoing, she got that from her mother.
She took another glance around the table, they all really looked about the same, clean cut, safe, the regular drab of those wishing to escape for a night. The one who sat beside her, he looked different, and that caused another smile to grace her lips.
"So now you know my name, its only fitting I learn yours." She said matter of factly. She took dull notice that he had stared at her hair, everyone did. If only they knew the half of it, the hair was her natural hair color. Course she never told anyone that, she just allowed them to assume that it was a dye job, it made life a lot easier.
“Erin,” he repeated for her, mulling the name over as he attempted to familiarize himself with it. All around him the sounds of a typical rave flurried and the scent of heated bodies, liquor, and sex drifted in the air. It was all very intense. “Name’s Lex.” His reply came a bit after a moment of lingering on his part. He wanted to see if she’d squirm for him.
The hair, to say the least, was enticing. It had a flair to it—perhaps he could even call it charming. The group of lessers that encompassed him seemed impatient, waiting for something to stir. It hadn’t been one of those awkward silences that usually came from uncertain newcomers, but an air of intensity summed up the bunch rather well. One of the young men leaned forward and staked his claim on the dance floor before squeezing himself passed a pair that had found themselves with the promise of company for the night later.
Lex watched the others submerge into their instincts, one vicious make-out session after another. It was definitely a consolation to know that companionship wasn’t few and far between but that hadn’t been the only reason for being here. He wanted to lose himself in the crowd. He took on another drink.
“So you run away from New England and hightail it to Metropolis to escape the weather and get your jollies, huh? While in most cases I’d assume there was more to it than just ‘shits and giggles’, I’m not even going to pry. You’re in my neighborhood now. How about I show you a good time?” And then came the sly smile.
