Oh, I don't think there's anything wrong with being cowardly. What's the point of being brave if it doesn't matter?

I agree. Making a decision when to fight and when not to fight is, to me, not something cowardly.

I've walked away from many battles, my choice to do so for my own reasons. It's not the first time I've been named coward, it won't be the last. I choose not to accept the label as my conscious is clear.

Avoiding conflict doesn't make you a coward. Whoever said that is SERIOUSLY cracked.

Possibly. Sometimes it depends on the conflict, and, why one is avoiding it.

He is entitled to his opinion. While what he said does not bother me, that he said it does. Clearly, he holds too high a view on who I am supposed to be. People change, sometimes in the way we less expect, he should understand it.
