thankfully, they're not saying it to me. i work for a hostel for people with schitzophrenia, so that's where that came from. it works for a lot of them, but some of them, it makes a billion times worse =/
ah, you get to see the flip side. all my guys are pretty stable... for the most part. i guess there are pros and cons to everything. i was in the clinic the other day and heard a guy talking about haldol.. said he hated it because they always gave him too much and he was too zoned out to enjoy anything, he couldn't think, he couldn't be a part of anything with any passion. he also said that when they didn't, his voices would tell him to hurt himself and others.. he wasn't sure which was worse.
i can imagine. not an easy job.. the worst part about the drug "fix" is that everyone is different. something that works for one person, does not necessarily work for another.
the sadness, for me, really lies in the existence of the problem at all.
