There's more to life than that!

What's "that"?

There's a lot more to life than anyone seems to realise.

[identity profile] make-a-miracle.livejournal.com 2008-01-07 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
That's why you should always make the most of it!

[personal profile] poisonwine 2008-01-07 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Than what?

[personal profile] poisonwine 2008-01-07 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
There is.

But it's worthless without having someone to share it.

[personal profile] poisonwine 2008-01-08 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
I agree.

Though, really, I can't imagine having a love that isn't sexual, at least not a love that would make things as bright as that kind of love does.

[personal profile] poisonwine 2008-01-08 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Have you ever been in romantic love?

[personal profile] poisonwine 2008-01-08 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe you'd understand better if you tried it?

What's the point of living if you're going to pass something as wonderful as love by?

I've been abandoned and betrayed, but I haven't given up.

[personal profile] poisonwine 2008-01-08 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Fair enough.

But if you ever can, there's nothing in the world that feels better (or worse), than love.

[personal profile] poisonwine 2008-01-08 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
But, in the end, you might be better off.

Sometimes I'd rather give up my past loves to get rid of the pain they left behind.

I don't particularly need to know most of the things I learned from my lovers, if I'm not going to have any.

And 'men suck' isn't necessarily the kind of lesson I needed to learn.

'Cause loneliness can be pretty horrible? Big things and little things, that's what makes it worth it.

[identity profile] doctor-dances.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you have a problem with not... y'know?

[identity profile] doctor-dances.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure you can. Ask most of my Companions.

Well, then what's the fuss about?

[identity profile] doctor-dances.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Not as much as you'd think. A lot of 'em... got very attached.

Pssh. I don't think you're a freak. I haven't in, well, much longer than I care to admit. You think I'm a freak?

And those would be?

[identity profile] doctor-dances.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
That's the idea. Doesn't always work out. Yeah, well. They're only human.

You're asking me about complicated and ridiculous? I have a time machine that looks like a phone box.

[identity profile] doctor-dances.livejournal.com 2008-01-09 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
People keep getting surprised when I don't do what they expect me to do. Humanity's young yet. Few hundred more years and the race'll be a bit more seasoned.

*smiles* Right you were.

Most beings in the universe prefer an existence when things behave at least more or less as they think. Helps keep things simple. It's an amazing thing, watching a species mature.

Guess it all boils down to if the little but happy time you could have is worth it. Personal choice, of course.
