Baby abandon bloody in changing station...

People do that?

Thank goodness. Ugh, it amazes me how some people have no concern for the kiddos.

Oh my, is the baby alright?

[identity profile] goddessofyouth.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Such things anger me.

Perhaps I should curse the parent if they are responsible.

I have twin boys and I would never abandon them. They don't need me anymore but I'm still their mother.

*laughs at that* How could I take offense? I'm glad to hear I look good for it though.

*smiles* Well, you are as well or it wouldn't bother you so much.

Do you have children?

Shit. Is the baby alright?

That don't sound any better.

Where's this changing station? I'll start trying to find out who's responsible.

That narrows it down. If you can get any more details, let me know. I'll find out what I can.

You read about it all the time in the papers. It's the sign of the times, isn't it.

We live in a society which thinks everyone is entitled to having, what we want and right now. People don't bother about the consequences later. Rather than face them, deal with them, it's easier to dispose of the offending item and move on, or simply ignore it.

It's not meant to judge the mother's actions, we don't know the circumstances why. But the trend to abandon a life, or things once they outwear the useful/shinny factor is disturbing.

I hope welfare can help the mother if they find her, and the baby.

It's funny isn't it, we can express out disgust at a baby being abandon but if we have to express our feelings, admit it's depressing, we say other things cause us to feel that way.

It's okay, to say it's depressing and it gets to you. You don't need an excuse, why.

A day off though, is always good.

I still don't get how people can do shit like this to their kids.

[identity profile] pediatric-rebel.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. I know. My mind always goes to the parents first. Bad habit...

And yes, at least she's alright. And thank you.

Haven't had a chance yet thanks to the auto vs. pedestrian that came in right as I clocked on.

[identity profile] pediatric-rebel.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Better jump on that. Cover for me for five?

[identity profile] rose-isnt-red.livejournal.com 2008-01-14 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Why would someone do that?

[identity profile] rose-isnt-red.livejournal.com 2008-01-16 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
But it's just a child.
