"Hi William, I'm Doctor Ross." He introduced himself before listening carefully to the boys question. Glancing down where the little boy showed him the gash he tilted his head to take a better look. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that needs stitches. Come on. Let's go get that cleaned up for you okay? Where's your mom and dad?" He questioned standing now.
"Hi Dr. Ross. You aren't very scary, you know that? That's good." Billy nodded and stood up. "They're around. I might get in trouble if they see my leg though. That's why I showed you."
Doug smiled. "Thank you." He said with a little laugh. He was a cute kid. Reaching his hand out he took William's leading him toward curtain area three. "Don't worry, we're going to fix you right up alright?" He told him. "And I'm sure your parents won't be mad, they'll just be glad your okay. I'll get this all taken care of and then will talk to them, that okay with you?" He asked as they entered the room.
William held Dr. Ross's hand snugly. He could tell Dr. Ross was a good guy. He didn't know why, but he could just tell. "Okay, that's fair I guess. I've learned my lesson anyway. I'm never having a spike war again!"
Doug raised an eyebrow at the admission as to what had happened, smiling just a bit in amusement. "A spike war huh? Sounds a little rough." He said closing the curtain behind them. "Can you take a seat up here for me yourself so I can take a look or do you want a lift?" He asked with a smile.
Billy shook his head and crawled up onto the table. He took 4 long sharp spikes out of his pocket, two with dried blood on them and handed them to Dr. Ross. "We get them from the railroad tracks. You can have them though. I don't like that game anymore."
Doug took the spikes from Billy and examined them carefully before setting them aside just in case some kind of investigator came looking for them or something like that. You never know what was going to happen around this place.
"We? Did anyone else get hurt?" He asked as he irrigated the wound slightly to try and get some of the blood out of the way so that he could see the actual cut.
"No, not as much as me anyway. I'm the smallest so I got the most spikes. It's the rules." Billy concentrated on Dr. Ross so he wouldn't wince. "Dr. Ross, are you the smallest of your friends?"
Doug frowned slightly. "Did someone make you play this game?" He flicked his eyes up from where he sat on a stool in front of the boy examining the wound. Though he smiled again at the question.
"No." He told him truthfully. "But I used to be." He added after a moment as he reached for antiseptic swabs, focusing on cleaning it up so that he could stitch it easily. "So you know what that means." He said flicking another glance up at William. "Pretty soon you'll outgrow all of them I bet." He said offering a smile.

"I hope so," Billy smiled, his eyes wide as he began to daydream. "I hate being little. I want to be big and tall. I wish I could start growing now!"
