Tell who what?

I just don't know how to tell John that I'm in love with him.

There's a problem with just telling him?

I don't know how he'll respond. I mean I know that he loves me too It's just that I'm not sure if he's aware of it yet. Sometimes he's a little out of the loop because his work keeps him preoccupied.

People really do make relationships too complicated.

Love is a beautiful and complicated thing.

*trots up with a messy bunch of flowers help between his teeth. Promptly drops the makeshift 'bouquet' pointedly at her feet, nudging them towards her with his nose*

Brooke looked down at the flowers for a moment in slight confusion before picking them up.

"Thanks, but I don't know if he'd get it...."

Spirit rolled his eyes at that, huffing loudly and blowing stray sections of his mane away from his face.

Two-leggeds, he thinks. They always had to make things more difficult than they needed to be.

To demonstrate his point, he struts around her in a circle, head held high as if he was trying to attract a mare.

Brooke didn't really think about why she was having a conversation with a horse. Instead, she smiled at him.

"I guess I am sort of stalling..."

He nickered in agreement and gave her shoulder a nudge with his nose for emphasis.

Do it. It's easy.

She giggled, "Alright alright! You certainly are a spirited horsie!" Brooke took a few steps in the direction of the hospital.

"Wish me luck!"

Spirit reared on his hind legs, tossing his head and neighing his luck. He landed with a heavy thud, his tail swishing, ears perked forward interestedly. He would have shoved her again if he thought he could get away with it and if it made a difference.

*sigh*

I hate to suggest it. But don't do it.

It's too late for that. I've made up my mind.

In that case, I hope he loves you even more than you love him.

Honestly?

Just tell him. However you feel you should tell him. If he loves you back, he'll want to hear it from the woman he loves. Not from a stranger who gave advice.
