Several years ago a Saiyan called Raditz came to Earth looking for Gok -- Kakarott. He was killed. A year later two more Saiyans -- Nappa and Vegeta -- came to finish what Raditz started.
Kakarott. I've heard the name before. A soldier mentioned it. Raditz as well. And Nappa... There was an obvious reaction to the third name and a small smile came on her features. Vegeta.
It's...hard to explain. Kakarott's fine; he's here on Earth with his wife and his kid. Raditz was killed...but. *shudders* He's back now. Nappa's gone too, thank goodness.
And Vegeta; well. He's adjusting to life on Earth as well as can be expected.
She stared for a moment, tilting her her head just slightly. The hair.. the expression.. It took a few moments for it to register, even though that odd little creature had told her that her boy was grown up.
Once the connection was made, she did not hesitate. Forgetting any decorum, she threw herself forward, arms latching around the other's neck.
She took a step back and smiled, looking him over. My, how he'd grown. It was amazing.
No.. Not that I know of, at least. This odd little blue creature dragged me infront of this huge red creature and told me I was coming here. So it had most certainly not be a trick, or they'll have to see the Hell I can raise!
She did not approach again, not about to intrude on personal space. It was not high on her list of priorities, but she knew that might not be common here.
My apologies. You simply looked familiar for a moment. I cannot place it, though.
I am, yes. It truly isn't given the credit it deserves; like all styles of fighting, it is an art. And truly amazing when mastered. My sword is...Well, it;s an extension of myself, really.
I tried explaining that to my husband several times, and he simply did not get it! Seemed to think that I hid behind my sword! Hmph.
Though, she tilted her head back slightly and laughed a bit, grinning as she looked at the young man, he never would take me up on my suggestion that we spar. His style against mine!

I suppose it just comes from not really having left home much.

Where's home for you?
no subject
But home was a place called Vegeta. It was a very lovely planet, but it is gone now, I'm told.
no subject
...You're from Vegeta? I...so you're a Saiyan?
no subject
After saying it, of course, she thinks it's obvious. If her son is here, most of the world will have heard of Saiyans!
May I ask as to how you know of us?
no subject
Things didn't go as planned, obviously.
no subject
What became of them all?
no subject
And Vegeta; well. He's adjusting to life on Earth as well as can be expected.

Vegeta!

...Mother? *He continues to just stare, mouth half open*
It this some sort of trick? Because if it is someone's going to pay..

*He says nothing, but then steps forward and slips his arms around her tight, powerful muscles quite tensed*

You've grown so much...

*the guilt he'd been feeling after that recent dream suddenly comes back full force, causing his features to shift*
I..
*a stormy looked brewed in his eyes, and together the expression and his eyes made him look troubled*

She pulled back a bit and looked at his expression, frowning a bit.
Vegeta? What's wrong?
She couldn't think of anything she might have done, but she supposed it was possible..

She looked at him a moment, a brow slightly cocked. Something was.. familiar about him. She stepped forward then, peering up at him.
Do I... know you?
no subject
No one does, not really.
