Ah. You are speaking of the gods that tormented you? And are you particularly hopeful at the moment? If so, I imagine they're extremely irritated with you.
As I understand it, there are countless cruel and miserable ways for them to punish mortals. But it seems to me that taking on the form of a hideous creature, or holding up the Earth on your shoulders, or rolling a boulder uphill for eternity, or other such punishments would have minimal effect on you now.
I'm pleased to hear you have come to such a realization. It's a sure sign of great strength and resolve. Necessary for survival.
If they turned me into a monster, as I explained to Apollo, I would simply kill people until a hero cut my head off. I could live with that. I haven't done anything to make Hades punish me. If they kill me, I have nothing to lose. If Apollo stuck me with immortality but still aging, I'd eventually reach an age where men would lose interest...
So, there is nothing that they can do to me. It is a wonderful feeling, even if this.. euphoria.. will pass.
Well I'm certainly very happy for you. And I pray that the gods do not find a loophole with which to make you more miserable. May such joy and euphoria continue to bring light to your life.
Hmmm yes. I can attest that as being absolutely true... Have you always been this wise Cassandra, or have you felt more enlightened by your ordeals? Sometimes that's what it takes after all...
I absolutely agree with you. Wisdom and suffering tend to go hand in hand. In a way though, perhaps the acquisition of such wisdom is a good way to look back on these ordeals. We are smarter for the experience. Perhaps you endured what you did for a great reason...one beyond even your god's reckoning.
Then you are, of course, perfectly free not to do so. I pray your losses will not be in vain and am certain that your loved ones are deeply proud of you in the afterlife.
*Nods* Well once again, I applaud your revelation and wish you happiness in your strength and knowledge as you cope with life. May Fortune smile on you, my friend.

They cannot do anything to me to make my situation worse.

There is an expression that is something like.. "Those who have nothing have nothing to lose."

But once you reach a certain point, well! Willful defiance sets in!
